Itinerary
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! The driver will be welcoming you at Saigon airport; it takes us 15 minutes driving to the hotel then check-in at hotel and relaxes.
Please note: Standard check in time is 14:00. Early check in is subject to availability of the hotel. The tour guide picks up and transfer explore the central Post office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the Notre Dame Cathedral, inspired by its counterpart in Paris.
Next, visit the War Remnants Museum which presents a partial, but riveting, view of the American war, as it is known in Vietnam, Independence Palace, Ben Thanh market.
Breakfast at the hotel
08:30 Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and drive 1,5 hours to Mỹ Tho. During the trip, we will stop along the way for refreshments and toilet before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho.
Upon arrival, we board a motor-boat and cruise along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River.
Cross the River to the other side, you will stop at a traditional workshop to witness a step-by-step process on how to make coconut candy, honey farming… while trying some yourself and listening to traditional music. Here you also can join daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.
Enjoy what local people offer by hand rowing a sampan along the shady, breezy canal. We will transfer to local transportation called Xe Lôi to travel throughout the villages. Take a rest after lunch before boarding the motor-boat back to Mỹ Tho.
Our driver will pick you up at your hotel and start Cu Chi Tunnels Tour.
Upon arriving at Cu Chi tunnels, you will learn more about the mystery of Cu Chi Tunnels by watching a documentary film. The video will partly show you how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time.
Witness and discover the system of tunnels deep underground, can withstand the destructive power of the bomb attack from the US military.
Discover Hoang Cam smoke-less stove, secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop. Then, you will be served special tea and cassava which are guerrilla’s food during the war.
Have break time to relax or try shooting a variety of Vietnam War era weapons such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M16. Finish the tour, the bus will take you back to your hotel.
After breakfast, the driver pick up and take you to the airport for your flight to back home.
